YOGA

FullSizeRender (3)Brittany began practicing yoga (without realizing it!) over 10 years ago when she would perform gymnastics on cantering horses for national and international crowds. In 2015, Brittany moved to Vermont to attend the University of Vermont as a Neuroscience Graduate Student. While in school, she expanded her studies and completed her yoga teacher training focused in alignment-based vinyasa flow yoga at Sangha Studio in downtown Burlington.

Brittany’s teachings come from the intention that she hopes to help others find their best self and love that self. She felt this in her own practice when, in 2016, she was humbled by a serious back injury that forced her drastically change her physical practice to be more gentle and grounded. During this time, she started attending meditation sessions at the Burlington Shambhala Center. It was a combination of these experiences that led her to gain the level of compassion and self-love that she has for herself today. Now fully healed, she enjoys interweaving meditation into her colorful practice of handstands and arm balances.

While teaching, she combines her knowledge and passion of science, movement, and yoga into one cohesive path through precise alignment cues and hands-on assists. Brittany offers modifications for all levels of practitioner and strives to empower each student to find their own yoga and mindfulness practice and to achieve their fitness goals.
